missing you
Nothing hurts more than the loss of a loved one...but whether we like it or not, accept it or not , life goes on
My mom has done so much for me , her life was dedicated to us.
Like most Lebanese mothers she gave us everything and made sure we get to have the best things life could offer.
She would have never left us willingly, God decided otherwise…
Now I have to take care of myself, I am old enough but one always needs a mom…but I am old enough and I like to think that she gave us lots of tools to deal with this world alone, to look for the best things (or not things) and more importantly stay together and love one another like she loved us…

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
My name is Lisa Niemi Swayze. I lost my husband, Patrick, to pancreatic cancer. I’ve experienced a lot in my life as a dancer, actress, director, and wife. But the experience that had the most profound effect on me was our fight against pancreatic cancer and Patrick’s heroic effort to beat the disease. Patrick was an amazing and passionate man, an incredible actor and a beautiful dancer. He was also kind, caring and adventurous. He lived each day to its fullest–even after we received the devastating news that he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. He refused to take his diagnosis as a death sentence. Instead, Patrick chose to fight and continue to do the things he loved–spending time with family and friends, working and providing a living example of the need to fight this terrible disease. Patrick understood that part of battling pancreatic cancer was to take up the fight on behalf of everyone who has it or anyone who might get it. Throughout his illness, he spoke publicly of his determination and inspired so many to fight on. A year ago today, Patrick lost his battle against pancreatic cancer at the young age of 57. I’m writing to ask you to continue his fight because Patrick was one of the tens of thousands of people each year who battle against this disease armed with little more than courage. Very little is known about pancreatic cancer; There is no early detection method and few effective treatments are available to increase the odds of survival. That’s what makes the struggle for those who face the disease heroic–a courageous fight against the odds. The 5-year survival rate for a pancreatic cancer diagnosis is just 6 percent; it is the only one of the top-ten cancer killers that has a five-year survival rate still in the single digits. What makes this shocking statistic even more frightening is that it hasn’t changed in nearly 40 years. And that is something that needs to change. We can all be heroes in the fight against pancreatic cancer by helping to change those odds. We can save lives, support patients and create hope by increasing awareness and research funding into the cause, prevention and treatment of pancreatic cancer. I am continuing Patrick’s fight by joining the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in an ongoing nationwide effort to know, fight and end pancreatic cancer. That’s why I’m telling my story today–and we want to hear yours. We’re asking people like you to become heroes in the fight against pancreatic cancer. We are asking those who have been touched by this devastating disease to tell others about their heroic fight. The more people know about pancreatic cancer, the more they’ll understand the need to fight it with us. We’re also asking people to demand increased federal research funding dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer while at the same time helping us raise more private research dollars. It’s this kind of increased research effort that changed the odds for people with heart disease, diabetes, and breast and colon cancer. Working together, I know we can beat pancreatic cancer. Join us today. Go to www.knowitfightitendit.org and learn about what you can do to save lives. Take heroic action by urging federal policymakers to back a death-defying research strategy dedicated to knowing, fighting and ending pancreatic cancer and find out about the other things that you can do to be a hero. Go to the website and watch my video, then share your own story. Patrick often played a hero in his films and television shows. He was a real-life hero to me, our family, friends, and beloved by so many. He knew that true heroes are everyday folks–those who rise above their own pain and grief to make a difference in the lives of others. You can be one of them. Please join me and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in becoming a hero in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Go to www.knowitenditfightit.org today, watch my video, hear my story–and then tell us yours. Thank you for your support and heroic action, Lisa Niemi Swayze Pancreatic Cancer Action Network |

Prayer
Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble,
but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.
but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.
Do you know why a Car's WINDSHIELD is so large & the Rear view Mirror is so small?
Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. Look Ahead and Move on.

Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn,
but it takes years to write.
but it takes years to write.
All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever.
If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.
If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.
Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold!
Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!
Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!
Often when we lose hope and think this is the end,
GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!
GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!
When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities;
when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.
when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.
When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them,
and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone
has prayed for you.
WORRYING does not take away tomorrows' TROUBLES, it takes away
todays' PEACE.
todays' PEACE.

If a window of opportunity appears, don't pull down the shade...
This is a true story. Some years ago the following exchange was broadcast on an Open University sociology TV programme.
An interviewer was talking to a female production-line worker in a biscuit factory. The dialogue went like this:
Interviewer: How long have you worked here?
Production Lady: Since I left school (probably about 15 years).
Interviewer: What do you do?
Production Lady: I take packets of biscuits off the conveyor belt and put them into cardboard boxes.
Interviewer: Have you always done the same job?
Production Lady: Yes.
Interviewer: Do you enjoy it?
Production Lady: Oooh Yes, it's great, everyone is so nice and friendly, we have a good laugh.
Interviewer (with a hint of disbelief): Really? Don't you find it a bit boring?
Production Lady: Oh no, sometimes they change the biscuits...
- Do not impose your own needs and ambitions on to other people who may not share them.
- Don't assume that things that motivate you will motivate someone else.
- Recognise that sources of happiness may vary widely between people.

Nothing can be taken for granted, maintenance is key...
Live the life you aspire to, but no life is easy...
Many things that were considered completely unreasonable a
hundred years ago are so common today that everyone takes
them for granted. Great progress is made by those who have
the foresight and the courage to be unreasonable.
Are your decisions being guided by the conventional wisdom
about what is and what is not possible? That can keep you
trapped in frustration and mediocrity.
Instead, listen to your heart and decide upon what you must
do. Go beyond being merely reasonable, and live the life
that you know is you.
Instead of worrying about whether something is reasonable or
not, focus on how much you truly desire to let it be. Put
the power of passion behind your efforts, and it won't
really matter whether something is reasonable or not.
If fulfilling your true purpose means being unreasonable,
then go ahead and be unreasonable. Instead of compromising
your dreams to fit into what the rest of the world thinks,
lift the world up to match your highest vision.
Unreasonable people change the world. Be willing to be
unreasonable, and you'll make your own world a more
beautiful and fulfilling place.

Life is life....
A man goes to the doctor and says "Doctor, I've become a compulsive thief."
The doctor prescribes him a course of tablets and says, "If you're not cured in a couple of weeks would you get me a widescreen television?"
This is not a lesson of ideal behaviour, it's a humorous illustration of options - whether to try to change something, to accept it or to actively support it.
Such decisions normally have two main reference points - the difficulty of the change, and the ethical implications of the situation.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things i cannot change
the courage
to change the things that i can change
and the wisdon
to know the difference
to accept the things i cannot change
the courage
to change the things that i can change
and the wisdon
to know the difference
Is that even true???
